Warvan Valley is located behind the tempting mountain pass of Margan.
Warvan Valley is situated at an altitude of 2,134 meters above sea level.
This valley has some greater deposits of freshwater bodies including the
Warvan river
. This river is formed by the convergence of the Gumbar and Batkot streams. The valley of Warvan is surrounded by Ladakh in its east, Kashmir valley in the north. This place receives a huge snowfall during winters and the roads remain closed during this time.
Trekkers also use this place for hiking and camping. This trekking is not meant for beginners. Also, this is the most wonderful trek that one can witness and enjoy. If you opt for this route for trekking, then you must have a fit body that can pass through the glaciers, meadows, hills, moraines, and overhangs.
