Lolab valley

beautiful valley of Lolab
is situated in the north of Kashmir valley. It is in the Kupwara district. Almost at a distance of 9 km from Kupwara, this beautiful and alluring valley is situated in the middle of the giant Himalayas. It is an oval-shaped valley that covers the beautiful peaks, the gushing streams, and the green lush meadows around itself.

Some natural springs can be found in this valley. Lavnag and Gauri spring are two main springs that you would get to see while exploring the valley. At each place, you see crystal and clear water coming out of gushing springs and rivers.
The valley has a moderate climate during summers and spring and is perfect for
Kashmir vacations
. But during winter this area receives huge snowfall hence it gets very difficult to reach here. Sometimes even the roads get closed due to the snowfall.
This valley is home to many wild animals as well like snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan brown bear, musk deer, markhor, hangul, and ibex. The beautiful Neelam valley of Pakistan is separated from Lolab valley by LOC (Line of Control).

How to reach:-
From the Srinagar international airport, a distance of 120 km has to get covered, which would take you 3 hours and 10 minutes by cab.
