Botanical garden
In memory of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister, this
Botanical Garden
was made in 1969 in the foothills of Zabarwan hills. The
Botanical Garden overlooks the beautiful view of Dal Lake. The garden is accessible by a ticket. About 300 species of flora are present here which include a large variety of Cedar and Willow trees. The garden also has a beautiful lake, where visitors and locals can enjoy the paddle-boat ride.
The whole garden contains a wide collection of 15000 plants and a large variety of Oak trees. The garden is divided into four chambers:-

The garden is a great site for the lovers of nature, although the garden is fully manicured but is surrounded by the hilltops of Zabarwan and huge snow-clad mountains of the Himalayas. People who love tranquility and calmness should visit here.
How to reach:-
You can reach here from the Srinagar International Airport by cab, which will take you almost 40 minutes and is a distance of almost 22 km.
From Jammu, it will take you almost 7 hours and 30 minutes, which is approximately a distance of 267 km.
