is a famous museum in Srinagar that was founded by Maharaja Shri Pratap Singh with the proposal offered by Amar Singh, his brother, and S.H Godmerry, a scholar. The
SPS Museum provides a long path to walk from the main gate and is surrounded by a well-maintained garden.
The SPS Museum was founded in 1889. The archeology of the museum is based on western designs. A lot of people come here to see different ancient things. Almost this museum contains 80,000 artifacts and objects are found here including, painting, textile, arms and armory, numismatics, decorative, and archeology.
There are 1992 sculptures, 2399 Manuscripts, 356 weapons, 333 textile items, 620 history items, 680 paintings, 60 anthropology items, 1096 decorative art items, 900 mineral and geology items, 28 ancient jewelry items, and 71131 numismatic items.
The museum opens at 10;00 am in the morning up to 5;00 pm in the evening (excluding Monday).
To enter the museum you need to purchase a ticket from the counter.

How to reach:-
From the Srinagar international airport, it will take you almost 40 minutes to reach here.
If traveling from Jammu, it will take you 8 hours and 15 minutes.
