shrine is located in the Khaniyar area of Srinagar, in remembrance of Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani
. There are 5 graves inside this shrine which are believed to be the students of Sheikh Sahab.
The inner infrastructure of
Dastageer Sahab shrine is a pure blend of the mughal and kashmiri architecture. The papier mache work which is done on the cielings and the walls are quiet attractive and add beauty to the serene nature of the shrine.
Dastageer Sahab shrine consists of 2 relics; the
hair strands of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani
and the handwritten Quran Sharief of Hazrat Ali Ibn Talib (r.a). The shrine was built in 1806. On the birth date or Urs of Sheikh Sahab, people from all over the valley come here and offer namaz here and hair strand is displayed as Ziyarat
.
On 25 June 2012, the shrine was badly destroyed due to a fire incident. But the shrine committee has restored this place to its original state.
Not only Muslims, but people from every religion come here and meet their beliefs. It is a 200-year-old shrine. The package booked under

How to reach:-
From the Srinagar International Airport, it will take you almost 40 minutes to reach.
If traveling from Jammu, this route will take you 8 hours and 15 minutes, which is a distance of 264 km.
